Review: Daiso Charcoal Face Mask

Helloooo Everyone! Sorry for the slower updates this month, I've been digging my face in books to study for my upcoming ochem final and math midterm. But I promise I'll have more for you guys soon after! :D Anyways, now onto the review....

I got this at Daiso for $2 and for the price, I don't think you should complain about it. This is a peel off mask that claims to remove those stubborn blackheads and impurities from your face. Direction wise, all you do is squeeze a decent amount and spread evenly all over your face, wait for it to dry completely and then gently peel it off. The consistency is quite thick, goopy and sticky - some people say that it takes forever to dry, but honestly a medium-thin layer is enough and doesn't take that long.

The first time I tried this I applied it all over my face (and waited around 10-15 min) little did i know, i soon found out that this was a BIG mistake.....this mask has such a strong adhering ability I felt like i was ripping my face off! >o<" However, when I finally peeled it all off, my skin did feel super soft and smooth. And looking at the mask that I peeled off, it felt pretty satisfyingly nasty as I've had quite a bit of build up lol. It's not a miracle worker and doesn't make your face perfect and flawless in an instant but, I would say it does a pretty good job of removing build up, fuzzy little peach hairs, dead skin and some blackheads.

After my somewhat painful first experience (hahaha) I now only use this on my nose to remove the blackheads. I'd definitely repurchase and I think this is much better than those Biore Nose Strips - cheaper ($2 vs $12-14), more product and peels blackheads off with better consistency (it doesn't remove all your blackheads but compared to the nose strips, this removes more).

**Important Note:  Remember to close up your pores after using this product with a toner and also moisturize your face! I usually do an extra step before toner and moisturizer and that is to soak my towel with very cold water and cover my nose or areas where I've applied this peel off mask for a good couple of minutes to further shrink and tighten my pores.

  3. I've been hunting for cool new products to buy to send over to my cousin in the states. Was looking for something they don't have there since they basically have everything and this is a perfect edition to my package! Yay :D
